Monster Island

Monster Island, the Asylum's 2019 mockbuster, was released around the same time as Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about an island with the same name as the island itself, where a monster lives.


Due to the film's low budget (equivalent to a large family meal), the filmmakers decided to focus only on a small number of people and to shoot most of the scenes involving the cast's A listers (Monster Island Asylum) during lunch. The Asylum may not do so badly considering that it is a kaiju movie.
